In this chapter we have drawn attention to a few of the aspects of musical material which appeal to the Intellect, and have brought into prominence some of the methods which may be employed in analysing and studying such for memorization. But as we previously stated, the extent to which the student will be able thus to memorize passages intellectually, will depend entirely upon his knowledge of Harmony, Form, and the Theory of Music generally. |
